We’re looking for a motivated and service-focused Bar Attendant to join our Food & Beverage team at voco™ and Holiday Inn Express Auckland. This is a great opportunity to work across two of IHG’s global brands, delivering memorable experiences to guests from around the world.

About the Role
As a Bar Attendant, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality service across our bars, events, and dining spaces. You’ll be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food items, and assisting in the execution of events and daily service. You’ll also help maintain a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming environment that meets both brand and local standards — all while providing warm, engaging service.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, high-quality food and beverage service to guests
• Prepare and serve drinks in line with RSA and food safety regulations
• Upsell menu items and promotions to enhance guest experience and revenue
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of bar and service areas
• Handle transactions accurately and follow cash handling procedures
• Support conference and event setup, service, and breakdown as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations
• Respond to guest requests, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a hospitality or bar environment preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Confidence in handling food and beverage orders, including cocktails
• Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol (RSA), HACCP and food safety standards
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• LCQ and Manager’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
