Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager – Midscale Meetings & Groups to lead revenue growth across the Meetings & Groups segment within the Connect Hospitality midscale hotel portfolio.
This role is responsible for proactively generating new business, strengthening client and agency relationships, and converting opportunities into high-value revenue outcomes. You will operate across multiple hotels, partnering closely with Revenue, Operations, Sales, and Hotel leadership teams to maximise performance and enhance the customer experience.
You will bring strong market awareness, persuasive communication skills, and a disciplined approach to pipeline management, ensuring all opportunities are converted efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-property environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver revenue growth for the Meetings & Groups segment across the Connect Hospitality midscale hotel portfolio in line with annual sales targets and business plans
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through market engagement, networking, industry events, and strong client relationships
- Manage and grow key accounts, agents, and client relationships to maximise conversion and long-term revenue opportunities
- Partner closely with Revenue Management, Operations, and Hotel leadership teams to optimise pricing, availability, and overall commercial performance
- Maintain accurate CRM (Delphi) pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and sales activity tracking to ensure strong data discipline
- Ensure fast and high-quality response to all enquiries, including delivery of proposals and quotes within 24 hours
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion, revenue performance, and customer experience through insights, feedback, and market trends
- Represent Connect Hospitality in the market and at industry events to strengthen brand presence and generate new business opportunities
- Ensure strong follow-up, pipeline hygiene, and disciplined sales processes to maximise conversion and minimise lost opportunities
- Work collaboratively across multiple hotels and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of client requirements and operational alignment

What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel sales, Business Development, or Conference/Meetings & Events
- Proven experience managing client accounts and driving revenue growth
- Strong understanding of Meetings & Groups / MICE segment
- Experience working in a multi-property or cluster environment (highly regarded)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- High proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. Delphi or similar) and data-driven reporting
- Strong commercial acumen and results-driven mindset
