Job Overview:
Under the guidance of the Duty Manager, you will provide excellent customer service, ensuring our guests feel at home and have everything they need. As the first point of contact, you’ll greet guests both in person and over the phone, assist with check-in/check-out, handle transactions, and provide a seamless guest experience. You’ll also manage food and beverage services while adhering to all safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service:

    • Greet guests with a warm welcome and assist with check-in/check-out.

    • Handle guest queries and requests, ensuring their needs are met promptly.

    • Provide information on hotel services and local attractions.

    • Recognize IHG Rewards Club Members and VIPs, offering exceptional service throughout their stay.

  • Revenue Generation:

    • Upsell rooms and hotel services to maximize room and F&B revenue.

    • Meet monthly IHG Rewards Club enrolment targets.

    • Maintain accuracy in cashiering transactions and adhere to cash security procedures.

  • Operational Duties:

    • Ensure cleanliness in front and back-of-house areas.

    • Maintain hotel security, including handling key management and stock control.

    • Support the Emergency Response Team and follow hotel safety protocols.

  • Team Collaboration:

    • Promote teamwork through effective communication with other departments.

    • Participate in training sessions and complete all necessary pre/post-course work.

    • Assist with deliveries and luggage handling (up to 30kg) as required.

  • Guest Satisfaction:

    • Follow up on guest concerns and resolve any issues promptly.

    • Provide high-quality food and beverage service, ensuring consistency.

    • Ensure guests depart with a positive impression of the hotel.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer-facing role is a plus.

  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings.

  • Knowledge of hotel operations or Property Management Systems (PMS) is advantageous.
