At Holiday Inn & Suites Sunshine Coast, we're entering an exciting new chapter as one of the region's leading full-service hotels. With a strong focus on exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and team engagement, we're looking for an experienced and passionate Front Office Manager to lead our Front Office team.
As the Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Front Office operation, ensuring every guest receives a warm, seamless, and memorable experience while developing a high-performing team culture.
About the Role
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the Front Office, including Reception, Guest Services, Night Audit and Duty Management functions.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and developing a team of Guest Service Agents, Supervisors and Duty Managers.
- Delivering exceptional guest satisfaction and driving loyalty through memorable service.
- Managing departmental rostering, labour costs and productivity in line with budget expectations.
- Monitoring guest feedback, online reviews and service recovery opportunities.
- Driving team engagement, training and performance development.
- Ensuring compliance with IHG brand standards, EVT policies and operational procedures.
- Managing front office financial performance, including revenue opportunities, upselling and departmental expenses.
- Working collaboratively with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance and Sales teams to deliver a seamless guest journey.
- Supporting the leadership team as Manager on Duty when required.
About You
You are a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys mentoring and developing people.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Previous experience as a Front Office Manager, Senior Duty Manager or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of hotel front office operations and guest service principles.
- Proven experience leading teams and building positive workplace cultures.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing payroll, labour costs and departmental budgets.
- Experience with hotel PMS systems (Opera experience highly regarded).
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- A passion for creating outstanding guest experiences.
