Position Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated Handyperson to join our team. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for general maintenance and minor repairs throughout the hotel, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and facilities are safe, functional, and maintained to brand standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical maintenance skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a dynamic hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct general handy person duties including painting, patching walls, fixing doors, light bulb replacement, basic bathroom maintenance, and FF&E repair
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and ensure resolution in a timely manner
• Carry out routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas, addressing any deficiencies
• Assist with preventative maintenance schedules and coordination with external trades
• Support the hotel team in compliance with OH&S standards, brand safety procedures, and local government regulations
• Maintain stock levels and monitor departmental costs within budget
• Participate in team briefings, training sessions, and other departmental meetings
• Assist other hotel departments as required to support a smooth operation
• Maintain professional grooming and wear uniform as issued

Expected Hours:
Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

• Previous experience in a similar Handyperson or hotel maintenance role
• Strong practical maintenance skills and ability to work independently
• Knowledge of OH&S and safe work practices
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail
