Position Overview
Reporting to the Express Supervisor / Duty Manager, the Senior Express Agent will oversee front desk operations, provide support to the Express Agents, and handle escalated issues. You will assist with training, supervise colleagues in the absence of the Express Supervisor / Duty Manager, and ensure guests receive exceptional service. This role requires a proactive team player with excellent guest engagement skills and a focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee front desk operations and support Express Agents.
- Handle escalated guest issues and follow up until resolution.
- Ensure smooth check-in/check-out and recognition of VIPs and Rewards Club members.
- Maintain reservations, inventory, and PMS accuracy.
- Assist with F&B service and other operational duties as required.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to team members.
- Assist with onboarding and ongoing training of colleagues.
- Promote teamwork, service standards, and adherence to hotel policies.
- Conduct detailed shift handovers.
- Support upselling and cross-selling for rooms and F&B, encouraging the team to meet revenue targets.
- Ensure cash handling, float security, and transaction accuracy.
- Enforce WH&S, RSA, HACCP, and hotel compliance standards.
- Maintain property security and act appropriately during emergencies.
- Report and manage workplace incidents, implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain accurate guest logs and operational records.
- Perform other duties as reasonably assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience in a front office or express agent role, preferably within a hotel environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and train team members
- Excellent problem-solving skills and guest service orientation
- Knowledge of WH&S, RSA, HACCP, and hotel compliance standards
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Ability to assist with luggage handling and operational duties as required
