We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team and help deliver exceptional dining experiences in true voco style.

About the Role

As our Senior Sous Chef, you’ll work alongside the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service, outstanding food quality, and consistency across all outlets. You’ll be hands-on in leading and motivating the kitchen team, maintaining food safety standards, and driving creativity in menu planning.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations.

  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain excellence and teamwork.

  • Ensure all dishes meet voco’s high standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.

  • Contribute to menu development with a creative and cost-conscious approach.

  • Oversee inventory, control food costs, and minimise wastage.

  • Maintain compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.

  • Collaborate with the restaurant and events teams to ensure seamless service.

  • Handle guest feedback professionally, always aiming to enhance the experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy hotel or restaurant.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards.

  • Creative flair with a focus on quality and guest satisfaction.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

  • A culinary qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
