Your Mission:

As our Duty Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of our hotel, ensuring every guest feels like they’ve discovered a hidden gem. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you’ll lead your team in delivering exceptional service while weaving the local narrative into every interaction.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome with Warmth: Greet our guests with genuine hospitality and ensure every check-in/check-out is seamless and memorable.
• Be the Captain: Steer the ship during busy times and coordinate hotel operations in the absence of senior management.
• Problem Solver Extraordinaire: Handle guest concerns with confidence, turning challenges into opportunities for connection.
• Inspire Your Team: Foster growth by training and developing team members, igniting their passion for hospitality.
• Create Experiences: Go above and beyond to accommodate guest requests, making personalized recommendations and upselling services with a smile.
• Stay Organized: Maintain a detailed Manager on Duty log and ensure special requests are fulfilled to perfection.
• Emergency Ready: Stay cool under pressure, acting as the Chief Fire Warden and First Aid Officer when needed.
• Collaborate & Connect: Build strong relationships across departments, ensuring smooth operations and a united front.

What We’re Looking For:

• A minimum of 1 year experience as a Duty Manager or Front Office Supervisor in a 4/5-star hotel.
• Tech-savvy with experience in MS Office, PMS (Opera), and POS (Simphony).
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Impeccable grooming and a polished presentation.
• A multitasker who thrives under pressure and can problem-solve on the fly.
• Flexibility to embrace a 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• A current First Aid Certificate and RSA Qualification.
