The voco™ Brisbane City Centre & Hotel Indigo® Brisbane City Centre are due to open Q1/Q2 2022 respectively. voco™ hotels Brisbane City Centre will offer 194 guest rooms, 11 meetings rooms, 2 F&B outlets, fitness suite & pool and the arrival of Hotel Indigo ® Brisbane City Centre will offer 212-rooms, feature restaurant & Bar, café, and fitness suite.

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and hands-on Restaurant and Bars (Food & Beverage) Supervisor across both properties, who will bring both these brands to life and deliver two unique brands & styles of guest experience and service.! We need your experience & attitude and you should exude as much character as our unique new lifestyle hotels. 

This is a unique opportunity to join at pre-opening, this gives you the opportunity to hand pick your F&B Attendants team, train them on new SOP’s/SOS, and build the culture. Therefore, we are looking for someone with passion, a hands-on future leader, skilled in the job role and ready for an exciting challenge to deliver this amazing brand & guest experience to Brisbane.

You will have the inspiration and drive to keep things moving forward, whilst inspiring and nurturing your team to create and deliver great guest experiences.

You will take responsibility for daily Restaurant and Bars operations, compliance, quality, and drive superior business performance, including the satisfaction for both our guests and staff. Ensuring brand, company standards and local government regulations are adhered to.

Responsibilities

  • You are a leader of the future. You are super organised, a forward-thinking type person: scheduling, activity planning and task delegation are critical to our success – this is the first time we’ve had a role like this, so you're setting the benchmark!
  • Managing, guiding and developing your team of F&B aficionados.
  • Designing & delivering memorable guest experiences.
  • Operational leadership of the outlets team across both voco and Hotel Indigo. You will have responsibilities for operations and service, from BOH and FOH, Meeting & Events service, IRD and kitchen.
  • Being part of and taking the lead when required in hotel emergency procedures, together with assisting in ensuring the hotel complies with local government regulations concerning Food Safety, and any other regulatory requirements.
  • You'll be dealing with a variety of people, so your communication will need to adapt to the situation. You'll be a brilliant communicator - consistently clear and concise.
  • You’ll support and lead your team from the ground with your inspiring and hands-on attitude.

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to manage a variety of key stakeholder relationships.
  • Has a focus on growing and developing a team of passionate Service hosts.
  • Demonstrable strong F&B background with operational experience and previous experience in multi-outlet venues.
  • Astute and strategic business acumen, partic. with respect to cost management & P&L interpretation and incidental actions.
  • Technology and system savvy, experience of MS Office, knowledge of Hotel F&B Management software (POS) will be advantageous.
  • Professional and personable, with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
  • You're pre-equipped with sound decision making and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
  • You'll will be required to hold or obtain RSA, First Aid and Food safety Supervisor certificates and in time work towards your RMLV.
  • Must have the appropriate legal requirements to work in Australia.
