The Role
As the General Manager, you will be at the helm of delivering an unforgettable guest experience, managing hotel operations, and leading a passionate team. You’ll be responsible for driving financial performance, optimising revenue, and maintaining the highest standards of service and hospitality. You will ensure the hotel remains a premier destination in Melbourne while inspiring and mentoring your team to achieve success.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest experience: Champion warm, personal service that brings the neighbourhood to life and consistently exceeds guest expectations.
  
  
• Commercial & financial performance: Own the hotel’s P&L, driving revenue, cost control, and budget delivery.
  
  
• People leadership: Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing team with a culture of ownership, collaboration, and growth.
  
  
• Operations & standards: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring safe, seamless delivery across rooms, food & beverage, and public spaces.
  
  
• Growth mindset: Spot opportunities, build local partnerships, and execute plans that grow occupancy, rate, and total revenue.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager (or senior hotel leader) within an upscale/lifestyle environment.
  
  
• Authentic, hands-on leadership style with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  
  
• Strong commercial and operational capability, including budgets/forecasting, guest experience delivery, and stakeholder management.
