At Holiday Inn Express & Suites ® our purpose is to provide simple, smart travel. That's where you come in. Part of IHG Hotels and Resorts Holiday Inn Express® & Suites Sunshine Coast, has 181 rooms (41 one bedroom suites) Great Room for dining and a Roof-top Pool. 

Opening end of April 2022, in Maroochydore’s new city centre and a rapidly growing Sunshine Coast region. Admired for its multi-cultural cuisine, and aqua related activities on the Maroochy River. Great shopping 5 minutes’ walk from hotel at the largest shopping centre in the region known as the Sunshine Plaza that has over 220 stores including a movie theatre, and two department stores. There is something for everyone in Maroochydore which makes it a wonderful and quaint place to visit and work.

We are looking for a Night Manager to deliver our Service Style, Mission Made Easy, which is built upon three Service Behaviours that drive everything we do:

  • Be Ready we know our guests want a smooth and hassle-free stay, one that doesn’t break their flow.  We are here to help them do this in simpler, smarter ways.  Keeping one step ahead so we’re always ready.
  • Be Engaging our guests are more than a reservation, they deserve our care and attention.  Which means real connections from real people, smart, warm, and purposeful. 
  • Be On It! We know what matters.  If any issues arise, we get right on it and resolve them quickly.  We look for opportunities to help our guests and we take them, the more we do this, the more they come back.

The Role

We're looking for a Night Manager, someone smart and considerate - a problem solving genius that takes pride in creating and delivering great customer experiences. Working with the Hotel Manager, you'll lead the team to success, rolling up your sleeves and working side by side to deliver a superior product. You'll take responsibility for compliance and quality, including the satisfaction of both our guests and staff - ensuring brand and company standards are maintained.

About you-

  • Be a Brand Ambassador and knowledgeable about the local area.
  • Live in the area, or be prepared to move.
  • Has previous hotel night shift experience.
  • Proven experience within a similar role or capacity
  • Strong Leadership skills in managing teams to drive for results
  • Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written form
  • Professional and personable, with a can-do attitude.
  • You're pre-equipped with sound judgement, even under pressure – you'll have a heap of responsibility right off the bat
  • You make calm, collected decisions – even when the clock is ticking
  • You will be required to hold or obtain a First Aid certificate and RSA Certificate
