Position Overview  

We are seeking a professional and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead our Food & Beverage operations. This role is responsible for delivering outstanding guest experiences while supervising and developing the restaurant and bar team. The Restaurant Manager ensures all outlets operate efficiently, maintains service and quality standards, and supports the hotel’s strategic and financial objectives. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage the restaurant and bar operations, including staff scheduling, training, and development. 

  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences and resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly. 

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan events, promotions, and special activities to drive revenue. 

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and workplace health & safety compliance. 

  • Monitor and control Food & Beverage costs, including stock management, cash handling, and financial reporting. 

  • Conduct regular inspections of restaurant areas and equipment to ensure operational excellence. 

  • Foster a positive team culture through pre-shift briefings, monthly meetings, mentoring, and performance appraisals. 

  • Ensure all staff are certified where required (RSA, RMLV) and trained in operational procedures. 

  • Optimize manpower utilization to meet operational needs efficiently. 

  • Stay aware of industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities to enhance the hotel’s offerings. 

  • Support cross-departmental collaboration to ensure seamless guest service. 

  • Implement and maintain restaurant procedures, manuals, and operational standards.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Proven experience in restaurant or Food & Beverage management within a hotel or hospitality environment. 

  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills. 

  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets, costs, and revenue effectively. 

  • Ability to create memorable guest experiences and anticipate customer needs. 

  • Knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations. 

  • Proactive, hands-on, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
