Are you passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences and crafting exceptional beverages? We’re looking for a Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team at Next Hotel Melbourne, where style meets service in the heart of the city.

As a Bartender, you’ll be the face behind the bar, serving both classic and creative drinks with a focus on quality, speed, and genuine hospitality. You’ll help ensure the bar is impeccably presented, guest expectations are exceeded, and operations run smoothly from start to finish.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages with professionalism and flair
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and engage with guests warmly
  • Upsell and recommend menu items to enhance the guest experience
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the bar area at all times.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels and wastage
  • Handle cash and transactions in line with hotel procedures
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive work environment

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment
  • Strong product knowledge and passion for beverages
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Team-player with a positive attitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays

This role includes collaborating with the Executive Chef on events and promotions, handling guest inquiries and complaints, optimizing manpower, and maintaining financial and operational controls. The ideal candidate has proven experience in restaurant or hotel F&B management, strong leadership and communication skills, commercial awareness, and the flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
