Job Overview

We are seeking a Casual Maintenance Handy Person who is a self-starter and committed to ensuring guest rooms and hotel facilities are maintained to the highest standards. You will work independently and as part of a team to carry out daily maintenance tasks and support the wider hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Perform general handyman duties, including repairing, patching, and painting walls
• Coordinate and organise external trades and suppliers as needed
• Implement and execute preventative maintenance management (PMM) schedules
• Undertake general cleaning duties, including rubbish collection
• Carry out general gardening and grounds maintenance to ensure hotel exterior and gardens are well-presented
• Support the wider hotel team and assist with operational needs when required
• Participate in physical tasks including use of ladders and lifting weights up to 22kg

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a Handy Person or maintenance role within a hotel environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of in-room maintenance with the ability to work independently and confidently
• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with hotel departments and guests
• Solid time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
• Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated
• Understanding of Safe Work Practices and OH&S compliance
