Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and guest-focused Food & Beverage Attendant to join the team at Hotel Indigo Melbourne on Flinders.

In this role, you will deliver warm, engaging, and personalised service across our Food & Beverage outlets, including Bistrot Bisou and In-Room Dining. You will play a key part in creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional service, product knowledge, and genuine connection.

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, and wider hotel team, you will ensure smooth daily operations, uphold brand standards, and contribute to a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver friendly, professional, and engaging food & beverage service in line with Hotel Indigo brand standards
• Meet and greet guests, creating genuine connections and memorable interactions
• Take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure accuracy in POS and cashiering transactions
• Upsell and recommend menu items to enhance the guest experience and drive revenue
• Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergens
• Ensure outlets are clean, well-presented, and operationally ready at all times
• Assist with stock control, stock rotation, and minimising wastage
• Follow cash handling, PCI compliance, and security procedures at all times
• Support In-Room Dining and restaurant service as required
• Collaborate with kitchen and front office teams to ensure seamless service delivery
• Handle guest feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring service recovery where needed
• Participate in training, briefings, and ongoing development sessions
• Maintain a strong understanding of WHS, RSA, and food safety standards

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in Food & Beverage or customer service (hotel experience preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong attention to detail and presentation standards
• Team player with a proactive and flexible approach
• Knowledge of POS systems (preferred)
• Current RSA (or willingness to obtain)
• Full working rights in Australia
