Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Duty Manager to lead and drive the overall engagement, performance, and profitability of our operations. In this role, you will coordinate activities to maximize revenue and ensure superior guest service, all while maintaining a positive work environment. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our hotel, adhering to local government regulations, hotel emergency procedures, and brand standards. This position requires flexibility across all shifts, including night shifts, and the ability to support multiple hotel properties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize revenue through efficient use of company and IHG systems.
  • Oversee financial processes, including cash security, stock control, ordering, and internal audits.
  • Conduct Night Audits, process payments, and prepare reports as per the Night Managers checklist.
  • Manage staffing requirements, plan work schedules, and ensure performance goals are met.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to staff, ensuring compliance with hotel standards.
  • Ensure high guest satisfaction by handling feedback, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a safe environment, ensuring compliance with IHG Brand Safety Standards and occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Drive team motivation and development through training, performance reviews, and recognition programs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-12 months of experience as a Duty Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in hotel operations, financial management, and Night Audit tasks.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Required certifications: Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate, First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003), and CPR certification.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Hotel Management or Business Administration (preferred).
  • Legal eligibility to work in Australia.
