‘La Madonna’ Restaurant, one of Melbourne's newest and most eagerly anticipated dining experiences is now open and seeking passionate restaurant professionals who have a genuine aptitude for the art of providing service excellence accompanied with the knowledge to offer sophisticated beverage suggestions all with their own unique flare whilst having fun!

The hotel and its food and beverage program have a strong passion for, and commitment to sustainability. We recycle, upcycle, and have all but abolished our kitchen waste. As well as devoting our wine offering primarily to producers who are similarly committed to sustainability. 

We are seeking a F&B Supervisor to supervise the Food and Beverage operations within the hotel. You will optimize opportunities to hit and exceed budgeted targets and work as part of a team and to constantly evaluate, train and improve the experience our guests receive.

Overall Position Requirements:

  • Have strong knowledge and absolute passion for food and beverage.
  • Lead the team and support the Restaurant Manager in the running of the Restaurant for Breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
  • Shows leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of food and beverage.
  • Maximize revenue through demonstrating and teaching the art of upselling, whilst maintaining high service standard
  • Builds and maintains relationships with guests, team members and senior management.
  • Assists with staff rostering, training, and development initiatives as well as coaching and performance management – create a positive environment and achieve ‘excellence’ and ‘engagement’ within the team.
  • Set targets for the team in line with the overall company strategy to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Proactively increase skill and knowledge around produce, beverage and cuisine.

You will possess:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the hospitality sector coupled with at least 1 years in a people leadership role.
  • Strong food, wine and service knowledge, experience with relevant cuisine will be looked upon very favorably.
  • A valid Victorian RSA and food handling certificate
  • Immaculate grooming and presentation and a strong eye for detail
  • The ability to multitask, work under pressure, and problem solve effectively.
  • The flexibility to work on rotating roster including public holiday and weekend.
