Sage Wollongong is recruiting talented Full Time Front Office GSA's to join our Reception team. You will be responsible for guest registration, billing & reservations whilst ensuring that every guest is welcomed and assisted throughout their stay.

About the Role

As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the friendly face that sets the tone for our guests' stay. Based at the Front Office, our GSA's are responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality, whilst ensuring the accurate administration of guest billing & reservations.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and ensure a seamless check-in/check-out experience is delivered
  • Administrate guest billing & reservations enquiries smoothly & accurately
  • Handle and resolve any guest concerns effectively in a professional manner
  • Accommodate the requests and needs of all guests, make recommendations, upsell rooms and related services.
  • Answer all incoming calls promptly and pleasantly and provide appropriate assistance
  • Build strong positive cross departmental relationships and provide support as required

 

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in front desk operations is valued
  • Personality and passion for creating memorable experiences for our guests
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills and an eye for detail
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation
  • The flexibility to work a rotating roster, including public holidays and weekends
  • Skilled at collaborating within teams, as well as working independently
  • Barista experience is valued would be valued.
  • A valid visa with relevant working rights in Australia are a must.
  • A current First Aid Certificate and RSA Qualification

Position Overview: The Hotel Financial Controller (FC) is accountable for managing the daily financial and accounting operations for a portfolio of hotels across Australia and/or New Zealand. There are a total of 23 hotels (and growing), ranging from limited and mid-scale to luxury and lifestyle sectors. Depending on the complexity, an FC typically manages 3 to 8 hotels. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency, requiring a strong technology mindset and a focus on automating recurring tasks to streamline processes. The FC reports directly to the Vice President Hotel Finance and collaborates closely with the Accounts Payable (AP) Manager and the Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager to ensure seamless collections and payments for the designated hotels. Additionally, the FC works with the Offshore Delivery Team to ensure the accurate recording of daily transactional activities, such as revenue journals and bank reconciliations. The FC is focused on both the commercial side of the business as well as compliance and reporting. The FC will ensure the continued improvement of processes which will in turn deliver meaningful management reporting including accurate profit and loss, balance sheet integrity, surprise free audits, yearly budgeting process, monthly forecasting, working capital and cash control.
