We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operations for lunch and dinner service at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sunshine Coast.
About the Role
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the kitchen, ensuring consistent food quality, efficient service, strong food safety compliance and effective cost control. This role suits a hands-on leader who thrives in a structured, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and supervise all lunch and dinner kitchen operations
· Deliver consistent, high-quality menu execution
· Manage kitchen staff rosters, training and performance
· Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance
· Control food costs, stock ordering and wastage
· Ensure kitchen cleanliness, equipment care and safe work practices
About You
· Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Chef or Sous Chef, preferably in a hotel environment
· A natural leader who enjoys being hands-on and guest-focused
· Available to work weekends and public holidays
· Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
· Strong communication and team-building skills
· Experience in hotel or high-volume hospitality environments
· Knowledge of food safety compliance and cost control
· Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred)
