We are looking for a driven and hands-on Hotel Operations Manager to join the team at Holiday Inn & Suites Sunshine Coast.
The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operational excellence of Holiday Inn Suites Sunshine Coast, with a strong emphasis on Food & Beverage operations, guest experience, and team performance.
About the Role
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day hotel operations at Holiday Inn & Suites Sunshine Coast, with a strong focus on Food & Beverage, guest experience, and team performance.
This hands-on leadership role ensures smooth hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage, while maintaining brand standards, driving revenue, and delivering consistently high guest satisfaction. Weekend and peak-period work is a core requirement of this role.
You will be responsible for driving efficiency, consistency, and service excellence across all departments, while developing your team and maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-run operation. Weekend and peak-period work is a core requirement of this role.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and oversee daily hotel operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and brand compliance
· Act as Manager on Duty, including weekends and public holidays
· Drive a positive service culture aligned with IHG and Holiday Inn brand standards
· Lead all Food & Beverage operations, driving revenue, cost control, service standards, and hands-on support during peak periods
· Deliver exceptional guest experiences by resolving issues, monitoring feedback, and maintaining high presentation and brand standards
· Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, liquor licensing, and hotel policies across all operations
· Lead, develop, and manage teams, including recruitment, rostering, performance management, and fostering a positive culture
· Drive financial and operational performance, including KPIs, budgets, labour costs, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
About You
· Proven experience in hotel operations management, preferably within a full-service hotel
· Strong Food & Beverage leadership experience is essential
· Experience working with branded hotels (IHG experience desirable but not essential)
· Sound commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and labour costs
· Ability to lead operational teams in a fast-paced environment
