We are currently seeking a reliable, guest-focused Night Auditor to join our Front Office team and oversee overnight operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, safety, and financial accuracy.

Position Overview

As the Night Auditor, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while managing overnight front office operations and night audit procedures. You will work closely with the Front Office Manager to support the efficient running of the Front Office and uphold the hotel’s core values of Passion, Accountability, Integrity, and Respect.

This role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage both guest service and financial responsibilities during overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Front Office & Operations

• Support the efficient operation of the Front Office during overnight hours
• Ensure all Guest Services areas are inspected and prepared for overnight operations
• Supervise overnight activities and ensure responsibilities are effectively managed
• Secure and manage access to emergency, master, grand master, and fire keys at all times
• Conduct shift briefings as required and ensure clear communication and handovers
• Carry out reasonable duties as directed by management within your scope and abilities

Night Audit & Financial Control

• Complete nightly audit procedures and system rollovers accurately
• Ensure the accurate recording of room rates, packages, and guest charges in the PMS
• Verify modes of payment, settlements, routing instructions, and billing accuracy
• Maintain integrity of financial transactions and cash handling procedures
• Identify, investigate, and report discrepancies in financial reports
• Monitor expense controls in line with approved forecasts and report variances
• Track minibar denials and authorise late charges where required

Guest Experience

• Deliver prompt, professional, and courteous service to all guests overnight
• Manage late arrivals, early departures, and special guest requests efficiently
• Meet and welcome arrivals to ensure a smooth and welcoming check-in experience
• Resolve guest issues promptly, escalating unresolved matters to the Front Office Manager
• Accurately record incidents, requests, and handovers for day teams
• Assist with room allocations in line with guest profiles and preferences

Security, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a high level of hotel security overnight, including regular patrols and checks
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns in line with hotel procedures
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, fire, and emergency procedures
• Report accidents, injuries, and hazards promptly and accurately
• Ensure guest confidentiality, stock control, key management, and lost property procedures are followed
• Promote a safe, clean, and organised work environment at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Night Auditor or in a Front Office role within hotels
• Strong understanding of night audit procedures and PMS systems (Opera or similar preferred)
• High attention to detail with sound numerical and reporting skills
• Confident, calm, and professional communication style
• Strong customer service focus with flexibility to meet guest needs
• Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays
