Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and professional Night Manager to oversee overnight operations at Sage Hotel Ringwood. This role ensures the smooth running of the hotel overnight, maintaining high standards of guest service, operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and safety. You will lead the night team, support staff development, and act as the key contact for emergencies or incidents during the night shift.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise and support overnight operations, ensuring all hotel areas are prepared and functioning efficiently.
- Manage guest check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries while delivering exceptional service.
- Conduct night audits, monitor revenue, expenses, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with cash handling, stock control, key management, and other internal controls.
- Oversee health, safety, and security procedures, responding to emergencies and incidents promptly.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the night team, including pre-shift briefings and ongoing support.
- Maintain accurate records in the Department Log Book and PMS.
- Facilitate communication with day teams, escalating unresolved issues as required.
- Support brand standards, ensuring consistent service, presentation, and guest experience.
- Monitor and support hotel facilities and equipment to ensure optimal operation overnight.

What We’re Looking For:
- The ability to curate memorable experiences for our guests whilst building sincere emotional connections
- Hotel industry experience in a customer service role
- System knowledge – Protel desirable
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- The ability to multi-task, make decisions, work under pressure and problem solve effectively.
- The flexibility to work overnights from 11pm to 7am, including public holidays and weekends.
