As Porter, you will be the welcoming face of the hotel, assisting guests with luggage, transport arrangements, and general enquiries. Reporting to the Duty Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth arrival and departure experience while maintaining a professional and friendly presence in the lobby at all times.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival and departure
- Assist with luggage handling, storage, and transport coordination
- Support guests with taxis, airport transfers, and car services
- Escort guests to reception and assist with check-in/check-out process
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming lobby and entrance area
- Provide information about hotel facilities and local attractions
- Recognise repeat guests and loyalty members to personalise service
- Support front office and other departments when required
- Maintain accurate communication logs and follow hotel procedures
- Follow cash handling and operational SOPs where required
- Ensure guest requests are handled promptly and professionally
About You
- Previous guest service experience preferred (hotel, concierge, or customer service roles advantageous)
- Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically capable of handling luggage and manual tasks
- Reliable, well-presented, and punctual
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Basic IT/PMS system knowledge advantageous
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and public holidays
