Join the team at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Melbourne Southbank as an Express Agent, where you’ll provide excellent customer service, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests. Working under the general direction of the Duty Manager, you will be responsible for greeting guests, handling inquiries, processing transactions, and delivering both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. As part of the IHG brand, we pride ourselves on our service behaviours: Be Ready, Be Engaging, and Be On It, to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly, both in person and over the phone, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.

  • Maximise revenue through upselling and cross-selling of rooms and F&B services.

  • Meet IHG Rewards Club enrolment targets.

  • Maintain accuracy in cashiering transactions and ensure security of hotel’s floats and keys.

  • Provide prompt, attentive service, resolving guest issues quickly to ensure satisfaction.

  • Assist in the preparation and service of food and beverages in the Great Room.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the front and back of house areas.

  • Participate in daily briefings, meetings, and required training sessions.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • A team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

  • Experience in a customer service role within hospitality or front office operations.

  • Ability to handle guest requests, solve problems, and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety and hotel standards.

  • Flexible and proactive in responding to guests' needs, always with a positive, can-do attitude.

Working closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager, the role focuses on managing end-to-end AR processes, including credit approvals, billing, collections, aging reports, dispute resolution, sub-ledger maintenance, month-end activities, and bank reconciliation follow-ups. The position also supports reporting and analytics, system and process improvements, compliance requirements, and fostering a collaborative team culture. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role, strong collections and bookkeeping knowledge, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and experience with systems such as Opera, SUN, NetSuite, and Excel.
