Position Overview
As the Maintenance Handyperson, you are responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience, whilst displaying professional leadership skills to your colleagues and co-workers. We recognise that the whole team are hospitality professionals that want to deliver the best experience to the guests, so why limit you to just one area. Key responsibilities:
- Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and escalate issues where required
- Perform preventative maintenance checks on equipment and facilities
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of plant rooms, workshop, and work areas
- Conduct daily checks (lighting, pool, and general hotel facilities)
- Repair and maintain room fixtures including doors, fittings, and appliances
- Ensure all maintenance work is recorded and documented correctly
- Support contractors and ensure compliance with site induction requirements
- Follow all Workplace Health & Safety and fire safety procedures
- Identify hazards and report maintenance or safety risks immediately

What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a maintenance, handyperson, or facilities role (hospitality preferred)
- Basic skills in plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts if required
- Current working rights in Australia
